Cash Awards to Maryland and Washington DC college students who major or minor in German

The German Society established an Award Program for college and university students from Maryland studying German. This program provides up to 3 awards of $1,000.00 each to outstanding Maryland students studying at colleges and universities in Maryland and Washington DC, who have declared a German major.

The German Society will also offer awards of $500.00 each to three Maryland students who are minoring in German at a Maryland or Washington DC college or university.

The German Society of Maryland encourages its members to participate in the activities of other German-American organizations locally and nationally. The German Society helps with various community organizations. 

The German Society is very proud to have helped in the effort to have October declared German American Heritage Month in the state of Maryland.
