St. Martin’s Day Festivities

In conjunction with the German Language School at Zion Church of Baltimore, the German Society is cosponsoring the St. Martin’s Day festivities on November 8 at 5:00 PM.

This is a great event for families with young children or grandchildren. As in Germany, we will celebrate with a re-enactment of the story of St. Martin, the Roman soldier who cut his cape in two to share it with a beggar, and a lantern procession.

If you children are not enrolled in the German Language School, you can help you children make a lantern at home (Lidl often sells kits!. If you are not that crafty,  we usually have some extra on hand.

We conclude the evening with treats for the children and the adults.

There is no charge to participate, but donations to support the German Language School are appreciated.

Please register in advance so we can have enough refreshments on hand. Click here to register.
