Registration for National German Exam Awards from the German Society of Maryland

The German Society congratulates all high school students at Maryland educational institutions who excelled on the National German Exam (NGE).

As is our long-standing practice, the German Society of Maryland will make a monetary award to students who scored at the 80th percentile and above on the NGE. The awards will be presented at the Awards Ceremony jointly conducted by the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) and the German Society of Maryland on May 18, 2025. Students must attend the ceremony in order to receive the monetary award from the German Society.

Students who do not attend will still receive certificates and medals from their teachers and the Maryland/DC Chapter of the AATG.

To facilitate the preparation of the awards checks, the German Society of Maryland requests that all recipients of our awards fill out this form. Fields marked with an asterisk are required.

We invite you to consider becoming a student member of the German Society of Maryland. The German Society offers scholarships and at both the high school and university level, and also publicizes scholarships offered by other organizations. Being a student member of the society is the best way to keep informed of these opportunities. As a student member, you pay no dues.
